COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ

We have been receiving a lot of questions about the COVID vaccine over the last few weeks. Here are some of the most common questions we have been receiving.

IS ONE COVID VACCINE BETTER THAN THE OTHER?

This is hard to determine. It is hard to compare the vaccines directly as they have not been studied in head-to-head trials. While it is tempting to compare the protection the different vaccines offer based on the studies that have been completed to date but we cannot to this. Each vaccine was studies with a different protocol and in different populations which can lead to different results.

WHAT IS IN THE COVID VACCINE(S)?

Each vaccine has its own ingredient list and sensitivities. Before providing a vaccination at our pharmacy, our Pharmacist will review your specific health and discuss this with you. There are also many great online resources to review this online.

CAN I COMBINE COVID VACCINES?

No. Whatever COVID vaccine you get as your first dose you must get as your second dose. It is not recommended/allowed to combine different COVID-19 vaccines at this time.

OK BUT WHICH COVID VACCINE IS THE BEST?

As your personal pharmacists we strongly believe that all approved COVID vaccines are safe, effective, and will help prevent illness. You are encouraged to review current evidence to make an informed decision about your health and we are here to assist you with this. We encourage you to receive the vaccine you are eligible for. The goal is to get as many people protected as we can.

Vaccines make our immune systems stronger by helping our bodies build antibodies to help prevent and fight off diseases. Because COVID-19 is a new virus, no one has natural immunity. It is much safer and more effective to get immunized than it is to get infected.

When we begin vaccinations at our store, we will be able to assist you with any specific questions you might have regarding the vaccines and your health. We have applied to receive the vaccine at our store and provide vaccination services to our patients and serve our community. We will continue to update you through our newsletter and social media once we have more news of our vaccine shipment and can make appointments. In the meantime, please signup for our waitlist to be notified when you are eligible to book an appointment.
